The weather can’t spoil your trip as the Jahan is an all weather boat.

I’m afraid we do not allow dogs onboard due a few reasons, largely the trip hazard caused due to narrow walkways while serving hot tea and coffee, potential allergies of others onboard and the length of the cruises, so you will have to leave your furry friends behind if you’d like to join the cruise sorry for inconvenience.

We offer one standard ticket price for all passengers as our two-hour cruise is designed as a focused, narrated experience for all ages. Due to the nature and full two-hour duration of our cruise, we highly recommend that the trip is not suitable for children under the age of 5. We find that very young children can often become restless and fidgety during the extended period, which can impact the enjoyment of other passengers. We kindly ask you to consider this before booking for toddlers and infants.

Arriving by coach or mini bus?

Many coach companies have visited us before and know the routine, but if they are new to us,  ask the company to give us a call-  details will be provided when booking.

Coaches need to arrive about 30 minutes before departure time as we begin boarding 15-20 minutes before the cruise start time.

Arriving by car?

Parking is available in the pay and display car park behind the Maybush Inn which is right beside the boatyard.

Turn right, into their car park before you get to the bottom of the hill. The machine is now card only and is £2 for 3 hours. Postcode: IP12 4QL.

Walk back down the roadway and follow the signs for ‘Boat Trips’. You will pass a light blue wooden building. On a sunny summer afternoon please allow time for parking and let us know if you can’t find a space, we may be able to help. It is possible to drop off passengers who have mobility problems before parking.

We begin boarding 15-20 minutes before your departure time. Our on-board safety briefing happens 5 minutes before your departure time, and no one can board after this time.

Alcohol is not sold onboard and not permitted, exclusive trips may enquire.

Galley serves hot and cold drinks and snacks (cash only)

Individual bookings are non-refundable. You can add more people, subject to availability, on the day. Please contact us to check availability.

Group bookings numbers are set two weeks in advance of the scheduled trip. The balancing payment is due at the same time.

Exclusive trips should call ahead to add people (numbers are set one month in advance of the scheduled trip).

Deben Cruises reserve the right to cancel your trip if we believe that your comfort or safety is at risk. This is usually due to strong wind warnings.

Jahan is a fully enclosed boat, so rainy conditions do not prevent her sailing.

Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel. We require at least one-month minimum notice to waive any fees. Within 1 month cancellation fees may apply.
