We ask your group to arrive 30 minutes before your sailing time.
Coaches parking is available at our boatyard. The group is met at the gate by a member of the team who helps the driver to turn the coach in the yard. One of the crew will then jump aboard and speak to your group about the trip, toilets, and route to the boat.
Our 2 hours cruises feature a balance of commentary given by the Skipper (focusing on points of interest, local history and bird identification) and quieter periods for socialising and sightseeing. This ensures your group is entertained without feeling overwhelmed. Our cruises mostly head down towards the sea and Felixstowe Ferry but if the tide allows the boat can go towards Woodbridge.
Every cruise includes a hot drink for each passenger served by our crew.
You can opt to add the Deben Tea Package. This includes tea or coffee accompanied with scones served with butter & jam.
Additional drinks & light snacks are available to purchase onboard (cash only)
Extras: We also have Deben Cruises postcards, tea towels and colouring books with drawings from a local artist available to purchase onboard for those who wish to take a bit of the trip home with them.

Deben Cruises operates Wednesday 6th May to Sunday 18th October 2026 with trips available Monday to Friday 1100 – 1300h and 1400-1600h.
Weekend and evening bookings are available by enquiry.

Passengers must be able to navigate themselves down three steps into the boat. The pathway to the boat is paved and walking frames, mobility scooters and wheelchairs can be used right down to the boat where we store them ashore. Once down the pontoon there is a ramp with safety rails to the entrance of the boat and then 3 steps down into the boat. The Skipper will be on hand to provide assistance.
Please note that we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs aboard the boat.
If not requested in writing, we reserve the right to sell remaining tickets to the public.
To close your cruise from the public for your group, the minimum fee is £480 for 24 passengers & £17 pp thereafter.
Deben Cruises reserve the right to cancel your trip if we believe that your comfort or safety is at risk. This is usually due to strong wind warnings.
Jahan is a fully enclosed boat, so rainy conditions do not prevent her sailing.
Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel. We require at least one-month minimum notice to waive any fees. Within 1 month cancellation fees may apply.

Our boat capacity is 48 passengers.
Passenger Numbers: Our minimum number to run a group trip is 20 passengers. Where possible we will try to accommodate smaller groups by combining groups or selling additional tickets to the public if given enough notice, so we kindly ask you give us an idea of your passenger numbers 1 month before the trip and to let us know final numbers two weeks before sailing.
For any amendments within 2 weeks please call the office.
Driver and guides should be included in this number if they wish to join the cruise.
We have dedicated restroom facilities ashore exclusively for our cruise customers and there is also a small toilets available on board for emergencies!
